The Make-A-Wish Foundation is the legacy of Chris Greicius, a 7-year-old boy from Phoenix. Chris was diagnosed with leukemia. More than anything else, he wished to be a police officer. Caring people in his community granted his wish and set in motion a phenomenon that would create an unprecedented kind of charity.
When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. This can have a real and tangible impact on a child’s health. In fact, research shows that wishes have proven physical and emotional benefits that can give children with critical illnesses a higher chance of survival. Doctors and social workers use wishes as part of their treatment plan because wishes are that important.
We believe that a wish experience can be a game changer. This one believe guides us in everything we do. It inspires us to partner with you and create wishes that change lives.
