Making a difference, one child at a time – Our superheros and villains proudly support the following organizations

Hopelink services help clients achieve stability through the provision of basic needs, such as shelter and food. By achieving stability, the harmful effects of poverty are eased for all family members. Without the stresses of homelessness or hunger, family members are more able to focus on the next phase of their journey out of poverty. Clients become equipped to exit poverty through the acquisition of skills and knowledge that can permanently change their lives. Clients come to Hopelink earning far from what is considered a living wage—the amount of income it takes to live without any financial assistance. Hopelink works with clients through various programs that can: increase their income, improve their employment potential, maintain stable housing, and when appropriate, advance their education.

It is important to note that Hopelink, through its many community partnerships, is able to connect clients with many resources outside of its own programs and services.

The Austen Everett Foundation (AEF) works to inspire, empower, and embolden the lives of kids battling cancer by Uniting the Fight of these extraordinary individuals with professional and collegiate athletic teams. At AEF events a kid with cancer is the distinguished Honorary Team Captain providing an opportunity to benefit from the strength and support the team environment provides. They are given a once-in-a-lifetime connection to experience what it is like to be a professional or collegiate athlete for that specific game, creating an incredibly dynamic and powerfully inspiring partnership. Honorary Team Captains attend pre-game practice, receive a personalized team jersey, visit the locker-room, attend coaches pregame talks, walk on the field or court with the team, watch warmups from the players bench. They also have their name featured on the jumbotron, call the captains coin-toss, receive autographed team gear, an event photo recap, and their family receives VIP game day treatment. Children’s hospitals nationwide have partnered with AEF to provide this powerful experience to kids fighting cancer with teams in their communities. AEF is working with teams in the MLB, MLS, NFL, NHL, NWSL, WNBA, and NCAA.

Birthday Dreams was founded on the simple principle that children must have this sense of hope, encouragement and belief that there are people who care so that they can weather the storms of their circumstances. One day, their day, to be free of all burdens and just enjoy the excitement of their birthday party. Our mission is to provide birthday parties to homeless children in the Puget Sound area. “Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you…” So simple, so joyous, this little song brings smiles to the faces of children far and wide. Birthday Dreams wants to ensure that every child gets to experience this occasion, no matter what their circumstances. We firmly believe that children deserve to have this moment of pure joy in their lives even in the direst of situations. That is why we reach out to the homeless children. Children who otherwise carry the weight of the world on their shoulders and need someone to help them have their special day.

When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. This can have a real and tangible impact on a child’s health. In fact, research shows that wishes have proven physical and emotional benefits that can give children with critical illnesses a higher chance of survival. Doctors and social workers use wishes as part of their treatment plan because wishes are that important. We believe that a wish experience can be a game changer. This one believe guides us in everything we do. It inspires us to partner with you and create wishes that change lives. Right now, more than 500 children are waiting for a wish. Children with critical illnesses need your help today!
